Practice Project One:

Overall, my action shoot went pretty well. I did run into some problems when taking my pictures because it was hard to get the exposure and everything right after adjusting the shutter speed. I ended up putting my camera in "sport mode". This kind of gave my pictures and orangish tint, but I figure out how to color balance in photoshop. Some of my pictures were really wide with the subject looking super small, so I ended up cropping some images. If I were to do this again with dance pictures I would take some pictures vertically which would help the focus on the dancer.
Practice Project Two:
p o r t r a i t

I had a really fun time taking pictures for my portrait project. My friend, Lizzy, is a newly signed model with an agency. It was easy to take pictures of her because she could pose by herself and was comfortable around the camera. I am very happy with how these turned out. In some pictures there were some shadows from the harsh sun so I kind of wish I took my pictures earlier or later in the day. There wasn't much editing needed on the pictures because the lighting was strong.
Practice Project Three:
s i m p l i c i t y

for my last practice project i was going to do food photography, but as i was taking my food pictures, i realized i didn't like the way they turned out. i decided to change to simplicity which i'm glad i did. i really enjoyed taking pictures of flowers. i like taking pictures with one thing in focus and close up. it really draws you into the subject which is why i liked taking pictures of flowers.i also took pictures from spring break in mexico.
